Pilot Eco Village Limburg
The aim of a sustainable village or eco-village is to regenerate the social and natural environment
The pilot 'Eco-village' in Limburg stands for connecting with the neighbourhood, self-sufficient living through permaculture and an intergenerational and multicultural solidarity. This village will set an example to ensure support in the transition to sustainable and connected living. Decisions are taken jointly, with everyone being acknowledged and heard. In addition, we support the connection in the neighbourhood, for example by coaching resident groups. You can shape an eco-village on the basis of the following three pillars.
Group formation
Assemble a starting group. Getting to know each other and together agree on the general decision-making mechanisms. Maintaining social cohesion through meetings, networking gatherings, social events and resource meetings to determine a course. In this phase you also choose from which legal form you want to work; cooperative, foundation, association, etc.
Vision development
With the use of PIT Nation, vision development is a lot easier. Agreements are reached faster and better on goals, location, lease or purchase, size of the project, degree of commonality, decision procedures, financial expectations and other focus points.
Spatial design
Defining the region, making wishes explicit and looking for a concrete site (a building/terrain that meets the wishes). Buying, renting or long lease options and checking the regulations.
